This Chinese Lunar year is Chicken. There are plenty of chicken on stamps issued around the world due to that fact.

The Mikado pheasant (Syrmaticus mikado) is a rare species of bird endemic to the island of Taiwan. The designs of the four stamps feature hatching, brooding, immature and adult periods of its life.
The stamps were printed in photogravure by Courvoiser S.A., Switzerland.
