So this is the new logo we can look forward to, effective July 28, 2013, for what will then be known as Priority Mail Express:

Having just read the link this part is bothering me-

Quote:
The Postal Service also is seeking approval from the Postal Regulatory Commission to automatically include insurance — at no additional charge — with most Priority Mail pieces. Customers will receive $50 or $100 of insurance coverage, depending on the postage payment method used.

Depending on the postage payment method? I assume that means they short you on the included postage if you use stamps? Or should I be getting something else out of that?

It sounds like the USPS is encouraging on-line postage purchases via labels. If you use stamps, you may lose out. But then again, maybe I, too, am reading too much into it.

Actually, there is a link within the above link, shown below, that outlines the Postal Regulatory Commission communication on the subject, but it doesn't mention insurance coverages that I can see:

"to automatically include insurance — at no additional charge"

Nothing is free. While they may not charge us for it now, its cost will be figured in the next rate increase.
