A South West Africa 2d bilingual pair...with a gutter:

These bilinguals are properly collected in pairs...just not typically with a gutter between. (At least it's not typical for me.)

In a small accumulation of Bolivian stamps I bought, I discovered the above 2 stamps. The one on the left is of course from early Hawaii, not a real gem but I like it nevertheless. The right one is a bit of a mistery. I find the stamp without the overprint, but not with it.
Can a specialist among you shed some light, please?

Thank you!

I believe your Bolivia may be listed in SG as #805, from 1966. I don't have the SG catalogue that would include Bolivia, so I can't be more specific.

The Department of Pando was established in 1938, according to Wikipedia, so based on that overprint, you'd think it would fall around 1963, instead of 1966.

Hope you show us as you study this specalist lot.

I'm busy with Denmark by now. These stamps were bought during the last month. It's Scott 3,4,5a,7b and 9. The watermarks are very visible.

That click to enlarge feature is helpful sometimes. Just doing "upload image" doesn't seem get that dashed line around the image. I've done it by accident a couple of times but I don't know how I did it. How do you post a scan where you can use "click to enlarge"?

US Scott #329 came today. I will only go so far to replace stamps in my album which have straight edges, but I got a real good deal on this one. It's is the second of three US stamps commemorating the first successful English settlement in America in Jamestown (Virginia).

The Native Americans had something to say about this of course, wanting to execute Captain John Smith where as legend has it, Pocahontas saved his life. Lot's of interesting history about the Jamestown settlement if one likes to read up on this sort of thing.

An addition to my York, Pa cancels. I have viewed many and have several without the year but it is the first one from this period I found with the year date.

Awsome cancel on a piece!

Floortrader
I start my Denmark collection buying a 800 used stamps lot and now i'm adding to it. I have no intention now to do a study on early issues as I don't keep my collection very long. Denmark early used issues are not to expensive i'll see. About life time studies, a big dealer in Montreal told me that collectors that come to him are either small or specialists.
