arrived today: Lithuania 1934, Scott # C82-87, set commemorating the Transatlantic Flight of Steven Darius and Stasys Girenas ... which unfortunately ended in disaster just short of their destination. Handsome set! Thanks to forum member cjd for bringing it to my attention. I had posted a cover with a modern stamp commemorating the flight ...

Sounds like a plan.
I'll be in the UK in November and have some stamp events scheduled, including West Leigh Stamp Fair on November 3rd !

But I'll be in Southend often as you know my family are there. We'll make arrangements nearer the time.

Clifhiker,

Very nice. Now you must try to add all the varieties to the set, I think the Grand total is 33 stamps.

Clifhiker, is that very first black Lietuva stamp of a crashed airplane? Kind of ominous isn't it?

Edit: I thought that was a PAID cancel but it appears it may say something else?

US Scott #330. My hunt for an unused well centered specimen of 330 has been unsuccessful, at my price arena for it. I had to settle for a nice used one. This finally completes my Jamestown Exhibition Issue set.
