Hi All

I just heard that as of last Thursday, Wensy Auctions is no longer in business.

Apparently they have closed due to many technical difficulties and also found it impossible to compete against eBay etc.

Sorry to hear that another small personal business has fallen to give way to a giant. Seems to be common these days.

Larry,

It's been almost two weeks now since it went off air, discussed on another thread here somewhere.

Many members had left long before that due to the poor maintenance of the site.

It was coming for a long time.

I believe it was in Stampscentral where I heard the news, and that was only the day before yesterday. I can't help it if it is old news. Sorry if it was re-hashed.

Wensy Auctions didn't just have competition from eBay , there is some 50 different sites that are on-line auctions. The whole key to any on-line business is buyer traffic ,that determines were sellers go and were advertisers go .Getting free listings or reduce fees doesn't work if the traffic is low and the only viewers are other sellers .

Those weren't the main problems with Wensy though. As stated earlier, the main problem was poor maintenance. The site kept crashing and then very regularly too. Many just drifted away because it became so annoying.

And it was annoying. And there were no feedbacks or explanations either.
