" Daily Mail" War Pictures

UK King George V and Belgium King Albert I at the front.

The post card was sent from London to France on May 18 1917 as per sender's mentioning ( the post office cancel's date is not clear )

Nice card March. There were so many of these types produced during WW I with pictures of the reigning monarchs on either side.

A lot of comic cards came out during the war years as well.

WW I also seems the most prevalent for the introduction of 'silk' postcards as well and they usually were quite fancy and a great deal of them had flags from the different powers.

But in May 1914, there was no front. WWI erupted on July 1914. There's something wrong with this postcard...
