Total Solar Eclipse
August 21, 2017
The new stamp is printed with thermochromic ink. Warming the stamp causes the ink to change from black (left image) to clear to reveal an underlying image of the moon (right image).

From Alderney (Bailiwick of Guernsey), marking the next Solar Eclipse to take place on 21 August 2017:



The full disc of the Sun is shown when the stamps/MS are exposed to heat (warm hands should suffice).
