My apologies Peter. Usually when referring to postcards, FOTW, MOTW refer to a certain series of cards sold by a specific vendor depicting either the flag of the country (Flags of the world: FOTW) or a map of the country (Maps of the world: MOTW).
In postcard forums it's a common acronym, but you're absolutely right, I should have elaborated a bit more. :D

Received a mint copy of J21 to complete the series. I now have all of the large format mint (unused) postage due stamps, except for the special printing (J8-J14).

A Vario-G binder with slipcase. The two Vario-F binders holding my "Random Stuff That I Like" topicals were getting overstuffed, so I had to expand into a third. Now I just need to figure out what's going into the large G binder and what's getting split between the two Fs.

My latest purchase, and delivered to my front door via UPS is a collection that I ordered from the sometimes praised and sometimes maligned E P L Apfelbaum Inc of Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. Anyone who visits their website knows that they're constantly having "sales" in which the discount goes up and down like a yo yo, anywhere from 50% to as much as 75% off, so the "regular" price really has no meaning. I bought a collection of India, including the regular national issues ranging from the earliest Queen Victoria issues (earliest is Scott #2) to the end of the King George VI reign. This comprises about a third of the collection, and includes most of the high rupee values of QV, KE VII, KGV and KG VI. The other two thirds (and the whole thing is housed in an old but perfectly serviceable Scott Specialty album), consists of hundreds of convention state stamps, which are pretty much entirely regular national issues with the various state overprints, and, more intriguingly a few hundred of the scarcer and much more exotic Feudatory states. Some of these are almost laughably crudely printed, and include some of the states you almost never see in general world wide collections: Alwar, Bhor, Bundi, Barwani, Duttia and Bijawar to name a few. A quick check of Scott (you only need an old one since there is nothing after 1951) shows dozens of stamps cataloguing over $10, with two or three that catalogue for as much as I paid for the entire collection (1076 stamps total) and I always count that as a triumph if I snag a collection where this is the case. I bought it when the discount was 75% by the way, so I think I got a pretty good deal, and I might eventually start building on the collection, at least fill in some of the holes in the Convention States part

The final check from the sale of my Russia collection showed up today. Happy and sad at the same time because it I like the money, but it really finalizes that chapter of my collecting journey.

PS: Another round on me. Maybe some pretzels and beer nuts too!

An auction lot from a while ago - posted 29 November, arrived today. Stuff on leaves is pretty average, but the prospective amusement lies in the entiers, covers etc

Actually, it reminds me that I have to get on Hipstamp and inquire about an order from a week ago that still doesn't show shipped. Hopefully, they just forgot to mark it.

Just got the last one of this group (imperfect I know, but all that I'm likely to afford):

scott#'s 18, 20, 22, 23, 24 unused. 19, 19b, 21 are out of my reach I'm afraid.
(certainly mint is out of my reach) Still makes me happy to look at.

Click on the picture so it pops up a better quality image:
