Songket is a Malay fabric that is hand-woven in silk or cotton, and intricately patterned with gold or silver threads. The stamp set features Pucuk Rebung Gigi Yu, Bunga Bertabur Pecah Lapan, and Pucuk Rebung Gigi Yu dan Bunga Kayohan.

"Textile industry," designed by Paul Peter Ndembo (1945- ), printed by lithography, and issued by Tanzania on April 1, 1985 as one of a set of four stamps publicizing the 5th anniversary of the Southern African Development Co-ordination Conference, Scott No.254.

15,000 spindle spinning machine, designed and engraved by French artist Georges Bétemps (1921-1992), and issued by Central African Republic on October 1, 1968 as one of a set of five stamps publicizing "Operation Bokassa," Scott No. 103.
