On the early XXth century, this was a very popular PC topic. Like this one from Switzerland (1900).

2 more. one from Western Australia and one from the United Kingdom. Both used by a stampdealer to promote his dealership at a philatelistic show in 1924.

I found some postcards from the (British) National Postal Museum in the bargain bin at an antique shop in Berkeley, California.

Here's a fun one that I just got. It's a local postal card from Lundy Island, with a picture of some of the local postage stamps that Lundy has issued over the years.

I just got a set of five Canadian postal cards, featuring images of classic Canadian stamps from the 1850s. Here's the 3d Beaver.

Great postcards shown above everyone, and nice postcard topic.

Bumping this old thread to show you a new postcard in my collection. I found it at the recent Minnesota Stamp Expo, from the dealer "Geezer's Tweezers" for only 50 cents. This one shows Mexico stamps, postmarked with a nice Tijuana cancel dated 21 May 1909.

The message says, " To let you know that we are abroad - came in an auto - am well. Ida L."

I would think that driving to Tijuana, Mexico in 1908 would be quite an adventure. I wonder where Ida left from, and what auto she was driving or riding in?

Linus

Here's a 1989 postcard from China, commemorating the 130th anniversary of the birth of L. L. Zamenhof, the inventor of Esperanto, and depicting various stamps and postal stationery indicia with his image on them.

A triplet of common Commonwealth Postcards,
I do recall one, however, commands a decent price, albeit I cannot identify it from recall.
