Here are a few of the comic style post cards common during the WWII era. All of them have a travel destination theme meant for the people back home.







The three cards shown above were printed on linen paper and displayed a linen texture, as did most post cards of that time.

Thanks. They were another thing my Dad collected. He bought them at news stands or wherever and had quite an assortment saved in a nice little box. They never went through the mail. When I offered them on eBay a few years ago, they were pretty readily snapped up by post card collectors.

This is one from France that dates to 1907. One of then more interesting ones I've seen.
