William Butler Yeats (1865 – 1939) was an Irish poet and one of the foremost figures of 20th-Century literature.
George Bernard Shaw (1856 – 1950) was an Anglo-Irish playwright, critic, and polemicist. He has significant influence on Western theatre, culture, and politics since the 1880s.
Samuel Barclay Beckett (1906 – 1989) was an Irish novelist, playwright, director, and poet. He lived in Paris for most of his adult life and wrote in both English and French. He is widely regarded as among the most influential writers of the 20th Century.
Seamus Justin Heaney (1939 - 2013) was an Irish poet, playwright, translator and lecturer. He was widely recognized as the greatest Irish poet since William Butler Yeats.

Otto Loewi (June 4, 1973)

Karl Landsteiner (1868 – 1943), was an Austrian biologist and physician. He developed the modern system of classification of blood groups and safe blood transfusion.
Otto Loewi (1873 – 1961) was a German-born pharmacologist and psychobiologist. His discovery of acetylcholine helped enhance medical therapy.

Corneille Jean François Heymans (1892 – 1968) was a Belgian physiologist. He won the Nobel Prize for showing how blood pressure and the oxygen content of the blood are measured by the body and transmitted to the brain.
Albert Claude (1899 – 1983) was a Belgian medical doctor and cell biologist. He received the Nobel Prize for discoveries concerning the structural and functional organization of the cell.

Albert John Luthuli (c. 1898 – 1967), also known by his Zulu name Mvumbi, was a South African teacher, activist, and politician. Luthuli was elected president of the African National Congress (ANC). He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his role in the non-violent struggle against apartheid.

Emil Theodor Kocher (1841 - 1917) was a Swiss physician and medical researcher. He made significant contribution in physiology, pathology, and surgery of the thyroid. He was considered a pioneer and leader in the field of surgery in his time.

Friedrich Wilhelm Ostwald (1853 – 1932) was a German chemist. He worked on catalysis, chemical equilibria and reaction velocities. He was one of the modern founders of the field of physical chemistry.

Selma Ottilia Lovisa Lagerlöf (1858 – 1940) was a Swedish author and teacher. She was the first female writer to win the Nobel Prize in Literature, and is best remembered for her children's book Nils Holgerssons underbara resa genom Sverige (The Wonderful Adventures of Nils).

Guglielmo Marconi (1874 - 1937) was an Italian inventor and electrical engineer known for his pioneering work on long-distance radio transmission and a radio telegraph system.

Karl Ferdinand Braun (1850 - 1918) was a German inventor and physicist. He contributed significantly to the development of radio and television technology.
