Giosuč Carducci (1835 – 1907) was an Italian poet, writer, literary critic and teacher. He was regarded as the official national poet of modern Italy. Some of his poetry collections include Juvenilia
(1850-1860), Rime Nuove
(1861-1886) and Odi Barbare
(1873-1889). Carducci also contributed to literary criticism during his professorship in Bologna.
