Papy24 - It sounds astounding. Just tell me please how far have you got so far. I might try and e-mail you the text in Czech on Monday.

There are so many interesting articles in these
stamp magazines which makes me wish I could read Czech.

My maternal grandfather born in Znojmo (Znaim) when it
was still part of the Austrian Monarchy was fluent in
Czech but as for myself I am totally ignorant of the
language.

Here is a stamp with the Znojmo coat of arms,
printed combination recess engraved & photogravure
on the WIFAG II press.

Czechoslovakia Scott 2001

There appears to be a lot of fluorescent paper types too.

Which is probably either the total lack of fluorescence or the combination of yellow fluorescence and optical brightening agents in various degrees of mix!

Anthony, there is a bit about these paper varieties for this 1971/72 set here on the Definitives thread http://goscf.com/t/20173&whichpage=28

You certainly have various degrees of fluorescent types
in that batch of yours.

Here is a photo of some I have.

Thanks for the link Litho. I'll have a read through it.

I bought a nicely written up collection yesterday at the local club auction for a couple of quid which will hopefully have some more examples.

Florian thanks for those links.

How did you get the Scott numbers since the catalogue
numbers on the pages are different.

What catalog are they from?
