Today was a fruitful day for adding to my small library -

This arrived from the UK - already I can see so much more detail in it than the Yvert catalogue covering the same period. Going to be a great workout of my rusty French!



Got these at a local used bookstore that never seems to be open, but by chance today it was. Some other Canadian reference works there too, so will have to go back...

From 1920, looks like an interesting read.




This last is the commemorative book from the opening of the Canadian National Postal Museum in Ottawa in 1974. Very attractive, informative text with inset engravings and blocks of 1974 stamps.

I've finally managed to get a copy of this on my shelf. Number 122 of a limited edition of 500. I'm very pleased!

Madame Joseph was a postmark "forger" who created some 400+ very dangerous forgeries. Here's a sample page
