China Stamp Overprint..?

Hi guys...I have found the China stamp in Scott...It is Scott # 498....I can not find the overprint on this stamp anywhere...Could use some help.

Robert, I tried but gave up! I went to www.stampworld.com and your stamp is in there somewhere. But boy, are there a zillion overprints on these Sun Yat-sen stamps! If you go, click on China Empire for the years between 1940 and 1950. I believe one can start a specialized collection of just these stamps!

Wert this is listed in ebay as a postal savings stamp. not sure if this is correct or not.

These are wartime postal savings stamps issued by 12 provinces in 1943. I don't think they will have a Scott number.

I agree with Postal Savings, issued during World War II. Our own tonymacg translated the overprint as Thrift National Reconstruction Savings.

Of the various provinces that used these overprints, I think yours looks most like Kwangtung (formerly Canton, now Guangdong), but we'll wait for a specialist.
