All are Fixed price with Best Offer. U.S. shipping only; no international due to weight/bulk.

1. Unusually comprehensive Ghana collection with US$739 Scott + 2,316 Euros (US$2,575) of Michel non-Scott-listed items (imperfs as well as some very scarce sheetlets). Price: $650 OBO

2. Canada album with $2,900 SCV mostly used plus CA$344 face mint. Price: $750 OBO

Next is the first of several lots that I will be listing over the next several weeks, all from the same source, a collector that subscribed to new issues from several postal administrations. Material is primarily 1980s through mid 2000s, many from year packs/sets, or still in original postal administration glassines.

I am selling them as postage, i.e., priced based on a percentage of face value, not bothering with catalog values. All are MNH, primarily complete sets, both commemoratives and definitives. There is some duplication, but minor. Incredible variety and would be great starters for someone wanting to collect MNH from these countries without paying any philatelic premium for them.

Most will be considerably below face value.

3. Switzerland, face value 643 CHF = US$684. Price: $475 OBO

Lots still to come of similar makeup:

Great Britain (am working on this one now, roughly 580 UKP = US$900 face, huge variety from year packs, including several sets of castles and the 10-pound Britannia from a few years back. Some machins and booklets, but not a lot; mostly complete commemorative sets and souvenir sheets)

Canada (mostly sealed quarterly packs)

Cyprus

Israel

Israel CTO

United Nations

And some individual year sets of Poland and Russia.

From a different source, a huge lot of MNH Sweden, including scarcer and higher-value booklets. This one might be a bit further off to work up, unless I get specific inquiries.

I'll follow up to this thread as I add the listings.

Sat down last night and counted up the second Canada lot. Just over C$500 in complete booklets and sealed quarterly packs from 1992 to 2005 (not complete; missing 2 years or so), and another C$80 or so in misc. MNH blocks and booklet panes.

I'm seriously surprised at how many quarterly packs sell on eBay for above face value (in US$ no less!).

Now to scan the fronts and backs of all of the packs in preparation for listing on eBay. Ugh.

Sadly, I discovered that the Cyprus & Greece can't really be effectively be sold as face lots, since they are no longer valid to use as postage due to currency changes. I think I may do those up as sets for the APS store, as there are quite a few sets with decent catalog values.

I started looking through the Israel, and boy is that country dominated by a lot of extremely low-catalog-value sets. Virtually useless in terms of selling as individual singles or sets on eBay or in the APS store. Not sure if I should put together a bulk face lot (it takes a LOT of Israel stamps to make any amount of face value) or try to put together year sets. I still don't know what I'm going to do with all the officially-released CTO Israel material.

Philatelically speaking, Israel seems to border on "sand dune" status in terms of the inherent value per metric ton of stamps.

Surprisingly, the United Nations looks like it may actually show promise. Flag sets and sheets, endangered species sheetlets, along with other sets that appear to have some value and demand. Quite a few of the sets have some great designs.

More to come...
