Hi everyone! This is my first time on the community forum. I would appreciate if someone may be able to answer this question for me. Recently I purchased a lot of 2 Franklin 1 c green stamps that included these two pre cancels .Both of these stamps expressing, "Kansas City, Mo". Both measuring the perf. 11,and have no gum.
After viewing other 596 precancels, notice a different with the type set from the ones I own. For example,Kansas City placed on one line instead of two lines between the machine marking double bars. Are there other known varieties of the type set for the Scott 596 precancel stamp? my stamps are position in 3 lines instead of 2 with the typeset. Are these two stamps still considered rare and valuable?

Sorry, but these are just common Bureau types -- Kansas City, MO had several different varieties of Bureau stamps, some with the town on one line and some with it separated onto two. This is type 63 and was the usual one for that time period, printed by the thousand.

If the type is 63. The scope number should be 632 instead of 596. The perf. is 11X10.5.
