Here is the 60 drachma value from Greece's May 22, 1992 five-stamp Health set. This stamp publicizes the need for protection against AIDS.

Here is Austria's April 21, 1989 stamp (Mi #1948) commemorating the 50th anniversary of the death of Austrian painter and printmaker Rudolf Jettmar (1869 - 1939). Jettmar worked in a style influenced by the southern Renaissance (Italian) masters. Most of his work is figurative. Could not find the the title of this painting.

Pushing this thread back to the top with Dutch Supermodel Doutzen Kroes. I am applying an expansive definition of "nude" in order to post these awesome stamps because at least one of them qualifies. I also posted this mint sheet to the "Fashion on Stamps" thread.

So, here is the third different "bronze nude by the sea" of this thread. This stamp (SG #2201) is from New Zealand's "Town Icons" sheet of 10 different, issued on October 7, 1998. Stamp depicts the Pania statue in Napier. As with Copenhagen's Little Mermaid, Pania has been vandalized and stolen, but as of today she is o.k., as far as I know.

From wikipedia, "Pania, often styled 'Pania of the Reef', is a figure from Maori mythology, and a symbol of the New Zealand city of Napier."

Just got these in the mail. Senegal 1938. Scott #s 179-187 (two missing from the series). Mint with very light hinge remnants. Post office fresh. Good centering. Beautiful engraving. Wonderful stamps.
