The lower value of Bolivia's 1986 "World Cup" set of 2 features four globes, two of which are inscribed in soccer/footballs.

This set of 2 stamps issued by Italy on August 21, 1963 publicizes the UN Tourist Conference held in Rome from August 21 to September 5.

This 1991 se-tenant pair of stamps from Brazil publicizes the recurring music festival "Rock in Rio". Rock in Rio II Was held in 1991. The stamps depict a globe which is split in two if the stamps are separated. Also pictured on the stamps are two Brazil rock legends who died early...Cazuza at age 32, and Raul Seixas at age 44.

On November 8, 1996 Japan issued a set of two, 80 yen "Telecommunications" commemoratives. One featured a view of planet Earth from space.

In 1980, Bolivia issued this stamp recognizing the tricentenary of the influence of French priest and educator Juan Bautista de La Salle.

Pictured next to La Salle is an azimuthal equidistant globe projection. This is the kind of projection used by the United Nations for its emblem.
