Here is Sweden's May 12, 1969 55 ore coil stamp (Facit #656A) commemorating the birth centenary of author and artist Albert Engstrom (1869-1940). Two values, 35 and 55 ore, of this design were issued as both (separate) coil and booklet stamps (4 different items).

From Facit, "(This image is a) self portrait from the magazine 'Strip', 3 January 1961".

Second image is from wikimedia. It looks like it may be a traditional (stone) lithographic print.

This December 28, 1988 machine cancel of Reine, Lower Saxony, Germany shows a winking owl displaying the slogan "Your Friendly Shopping Town" on its outstretched wing. According to wikipedia, Reine's 2018 population was 314.

Up until Deutsche Post's massive reorganization/modernization (1994-8) when it created the large, district mail processing centers (Briefzentrum), many villages and towns had "colorful", machine duplex cancellations promoting local history and events.
