A large, stylized owl is shown on this January 23, 2020 "N" domestic letter rate (one euro at issue date) value of Ireland. Stamp is from the two-stamp European Culture Capital set as a joint issue with Croatia featuring each country's images of Galway and Rijeka.

Here is the 2.50 +2.50 koruna value from Czechoslovakia's November 14, 1945 set of two identically designed (in different colors) semi-postal stamps commemorating the 1st World Congress of Students meeting in Prague. Stamps depict an allegorical portrait of the country.

The stamp set shows Boreal owl (Aegolius funereus, Barn owl (Tyto alba), Eurasian eagle-owl (Bubo bubo), Short-eared owl (Asio flammeus).

On January 31, 1989 Sweden issued an "Animals in Threatened Habitats' booklet of ten 2.30 kr. stamps (5 x 2 designs). One of the stamps (Facit #1542) depicts an Ural owl (Strix uralensis).
