Here is an image of an airmail stamp depicting hands, symbols of industry and agriculture, and maps of the world, designed and engraved by French artist Jacques Gauth1er (1931- ), and issued by Congo (People's Republic) on October 18, 1965, Scott No. C34.

Here is an image of a stamp depicting a rising sun and a cogwheel, designed by the late British artist Jennifer M. Toombs (1940-2018), printed by lithography, and issued by Malawi on July 5, 1967 as one of a set of four stamps publicizing industrial development, Scott No. 75.

This 1999 stamp of Japan (Sc.# 2678) commemorates the "Centenary of the Patent Attorney System" in that country. The design features cogwheels within a mechanical device.
