Happy Birthday to English comic actor Charlie Chaplin (1889-1977). Here is an image of a stamp honoring Charlie Chaplin, designed by French artist Jean Chesnot, engraved by Georges Bétemps (1921-1992), and issued by Monaco on March 14, 1989 to commemorate the entertainer's birth centenary, Scott No. 1679, plus a YouTube link to a clip of a factory scene involving cogwheels from Chaplin's comedy film classic "Modern Times" (1936).

PS A couple of years ago I posted an image of this stamp in the "Film and Music Star Stamps" thread, but I simply couldn't resist reposting it here today.
