Thanks, Rod. Essays and proofs are listed in varyingdetail by Yvert and Maury catalogues, but I couldn't find the Bonaparte essays there. Given the dates, perhaps an 1864 anniversary production? The Prince Imperial essays here were, I think, made available around 1902, long after the production of the originals.
Hi all. I had not posted any of my French stamps in a while (though I have been working away). A few completed pages and some new additions. I had been waiting for my last Merson issue which took FOREVER to arrive. That might be my favorite page. The Marianne's are looking very nice as well.
You are going ahead in leaps and bounds ! Well done... It's so nice to see Marianne Dulac again, one of my favourites stamps of all time....sigh. Congrats on the Merson completion.
