Like Rod222, have only come across the five-cent issue while breaking down county collections. To see the entire set (together) in mint condition is impressive.

Did you acquire as a set? Or was it a stamp-by-stamp hunt?

I apologize for diverting the main topic but couldn't resist showing this parcel front I received yesterday from the dealer "Le Timbre Classique" in Paris. Unfortunately, it exceeds the size of my scanner bed.

Showing the contents (three classics) will have to wait until they are mounted.

Hi Vayolene.

I was guessing the Society, was the distribution centre for all the "Grand Hotels" in France.
That was the only address I could find.
Stamp appears to be cancelled around 1938
Please feel free to correct me, or direct me elsewhere.

Perhaps PARIS is at the bottom of the cancel?

I think it's more likely to be the individual hotel - "Grand" wouldn't be a chain. Maybe this one

Well that destroys my understanding of the D.A
meaning auxiliary Distributing agents,
I was thinking the revenues were ordered for a chain.

Ergo, I am back to square one.
Can anyone explain "auxiliary distributing agents" in regard to the revenues?

From Yvert fiscal stamps catalogue :
"1936-42
