The knot looks a little like a double fisherman knot, which is used to tie two climbing ropes together, among other uses.

This is the biggest stamp in my collection. For scale, I've photographed it next to one of their first definitives, which is pretty much a regular-style stamp, before the Trucials discoverd the joys of wallpaper.

The knot looks a bit like a fisherman's knot but would likely slip, as I think the first loop would just untwist.

Some of the illustrations on this set were previously used on a set of Polish stamps.

Haven't got a cat number but the Fujeira stamps are listed as 1973.

I have a Dune stamp somewhere, where the image was lifted off a Fish Tank magazine.
