I only have a US catalog. I was thinking if I go onto ebay past sales of Turkey and see if I can value some that way. Of course not all the stamps will be found on eBay, possibly only a few. But it is a start. |

It was a really good buy, you have a number of the tougher issues to find in there. It's not a very specialized selection, since there aren't perforation varieties shown and a few of the higher priced items have been removed. It would be quite worthwhile to use it as the basis for your own Ottoman Empire collection. Look into the cost of an ISFILA catalog, the last few I bought were pretty affordable even with the shipping to the USA from Turkey. Also look at my collection as an example since I go into more depth than Scott or your collection does. |

Received today (From U.S.) 10 Volume set Illustrated Turkish Postmarks My sincere thanks to member PostmasterGS to act as my proxy, both in securing the catalogues, and after waiting some time, finding the perfect time to ship the heavy parcel, just hours before the Aussie Dollar nosedived. Thanks Postmaster. Postage $281.80 (Transit 43 Days) ($489 dollars AUD) I feel privileged to own these Catalogues. Thanks to USPS and Australia Post (Black dust jackets do not scan) |

Rod, That box looks like it's been to hell and back. Did the books get damaged? BTW, the damage to a couple of the dust jackets was preexisting, apparently from the previous owner. And yeah, the gold on the dust jackets doesn't scan very well. There are decent scans of the dust jackets in the files I sent you. |

I hope the other box didn't receive similar treatment. I wasn't able to add as much extra packaging to it because the books took up more space. |

Yes. Let the UN use the local name conventions rather than the English equivalents. That really solves the world's problems.
I am waiting for him to demand the name of the country is changed from Turkiye to Erdoganistan. |

Of course I'm grumpy, but that doesn't change my suspicion of name-changes enacted by right-wing nationalist governments for their own purposes - see also Myanmar and Mumbai. |
