I've tended to use a long mount and place the stamps within it in an approximation of the strip.

I usually create new pages or modify the existing page to add the single spaces. I've also had to do the reverse. Just today, I redesigned a Belgian Congo semi-postal page because I had both the attached pair and the individual stamps.

"Reclaimed" stamp room. No more stuff sitting in boxes on the floor etc.

Purchased several plastic shoeboxes. Now everything has been placed in labeled tubs on recently installed "box shelving"

Researched Colombia "numerals" issues. Thanks to an informative pamphlet from the APRL.

Now seeking a handful of trading partners interested in trading 100 to 200 stamps/month based on designated countries/areas.

Yesterday.
Changed my entire Belgium Collection (2,405 stamps)
from Stanley Gibbons to Scott numbers

Deskewed and centred about 1000 wonky Belgium scans, using
Germanstamp.net free "stampix"
Exhausting but satisfying.

Mounted 284 stamps of Belgian Congo through 1959. Slowed down again to fix some pages where frames are way too small or way too big. Easy to correct, just time consuming.

I moved into a new study/stamp den over the weekend. This is in Texas. I shuttered the window to get better photos but there's a nice view of trees. I need better cord management and to hang some art, but you get the idea.

Nice CJ! For cord management, I like these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076VKZQ67

They are a bit short (20") but it is simple to use 2-3 for longer cable runs. They can also be zippered together if you have a particularly large number of cables coming together at a source.

Today I began working through a couple boxes of stamps in glassines. Many have catalog numbers printed/written on them, so for the most part it's fairly easy work to pull them out and get them staged for later mounting.

I focused on Venezuela and was able to add 351 split roughly evenly between regular issues and airmails.

All in all, a good day.

Chris - Nice aesthetic! I will never have anything that nice because my three GSD's would trash it mercilessly. Enjoy!

Never trust catalogue numbers written on the stamp. I have come across more that were wrong than I can count. Granted some were old numbering system as well.

Also, just finished mounting 208 stamps from Costa Rica through 1940.

Nicholas,

I forgot to mention that I do verify catalog numbers. I've had a few instances of the number on a glassine or 102 card not being remotely close to the actual number. Since some dealers will re-use old glassines/cards, it's easy enough to see how mistakes could happen.

Thanks for the heads up.

Dale

Was procrastinating a while on Belgium back of book. Mounted 174 (160 unique) of Parcel Post and Railway and Occupation through 1940. Probably another 200 to go (Semi Postal to Newspaper). Running low on some mount sizes, looks like time to order a bunch more.

Lovely stamp room, CJ!

I won't be posting any photos of the ****hole where I do my own collecting. Not until I win the lottery and can move into much better accommodations, at any rate.
