After much procrastination I convinced myself that this is the ideal time to start amalgamating Denmark collections and purchases onto the pages I made. I was putting it off primarily due to the perf, colour, watermark and frame variations of the 1870-1903 type definitive series. Happy to say that I've soldiered past that only to find that I must have left a couple of glassines back in Cyprus when I was there over Christmas so I won't be working on that part of the collection until February when I get back to Cyprus and find the glassines. I've been using DAVO self-adhesive mounts as a trial on this project, especially for the more expensive stamps. Not quite what I was expecting. The mounts are in strips and come in packages of 25 (for the sizes I ordered). Larger sizes are in packs of 20, not sure about mini-sheet sized mounts though. There is a self-adhesive strip along the bottom quarter of the mount only and not over the entire surface. Not sure how that is going to affect the mount later on in the day with only the bottom part stuck down to the page. They are however extremely adhesive so accidently dropping them on the page adhesive-side down can be a problem. |

Mounted my first stamp in 2 months! The winner was India Air Mail from 1948: Lockheed Constellation.
My shoulder is doing better so now I will try to catch up on mounting, but will be going slower than before. I have about 400 pages laid out.
Update: Mounted 100 stamps. 51 from India to round out 1941 through Dominion of India and 49 from New Caledonia all back of book through 1948. |

Today I sorted a small batch of new acquisitions, arranged the applicable ones into my topical stock book, and stored the rest for later. 'Twas a good day. |

Read post from 'Moose' about Denmark. I recently purchased the New Stanley Gibbons specialist catalogue for Denmark and Norway. Still having problems separating the 1851/4/8 Danish issues based on colour. Just had a quick look again. No clearer. |

Still mounting stamps from recent Hipstamp purchases. Mounted stamps and updated inventories for Luxembourg, Mexico and Netherlands Antilles over the last few days. And added a new country to my collection with a few stamps from Mongolia.
Also saw that one of my favorite mixture dealers, Gene Bujdos of Pittsburgh, placed his last ad in Linn's. Think I will order one last selection from him. |

I have been working on my Mexico album, watermarking, mounting, correcting, searching for missing stamps I need. A lot of work on my MX Airmails as well. I received some very nice additions yesterday. Also did a little work mounting stamps on my Sweden pages as well as starting some German pages.
Enjoying some MX stamp trading with a wonderful and wise fellow Mexico collector on the forum. Recently learned about a Forgery site where I can check on my early Hidalgos and Maximillian's. Learned what an SFL is today. |

I'm hoping that I get my order by tomorrow. Yesterday, someone went crazy, shot up their house and killed someone and the police had the entire neighborhood shut down the entire day, trapping us in the house with no way to leave and nobody could get in. That meant that both trash and mail got stopped at the blockades. I got trash running a day late and hopefully mail will catch up. |

Mounted the rest of New Caledonia yesterday (119 stamps) and most of Mozambique Company today (102 stamps). Still 24 more to mount but I need to redo the last 2 or 3 pages in the classic section. But, I'm out of paper so it will be a while before I do that.
100+ stamps a day is probably too many to try and do right now. Hard to stop though when so much to do. |

Been going through old 'Stamp' magazines and rereading some of he amazing articles and enjoying the images. Unfortunately I am having to throw most of them out as I am so short of space. |
