Finally received the last part of the Libyan Sc 102-134 series that I'd been working on, specifically the first printings of 118-121. (From a dealer in Belgium who insisted I wire funds as my history on Delcampe is pretty limited. Can't say I blame them.) Arrived well-packaged and just happy to add them to the album. Wheee!

Bought a small box of about 100+ loose stamps at a tag sale today for a dollar. Mostly modern, mix of US and about 25 different countries. Did find 3 stamps to add to my one stamp for every country album, a Belize, a Nevis, and a Maldives. Brings me up to 352 out 683 for 51.54% of pages printed.

I watched the annual update on Boston 2026. They seem to be making progress and stated they were surprised by the dealer booth commitments already.

I crawled back through my stamps of France. I have Scott France Specialty pages through 1976 (Part I and Part II). I had previously (about 3 years ago now) mounted what I had for Part I, favoring unused stamps. After I decided to go with Steiner, I printed out pages for the classic regular issues as a place to mount early duplicates and used versions of the aforementioned unused stamps. Over the past week, I finished laying out stamps for the Steiner pages, stored the remainder of my used classic regular issue stamps into a stock book, and prepared stamps for mounting on the Part II specialty pages, again favoring unused versions. I have almost all regular issues from 1959 through 1973 and some scattered through 1976. During this process, I used a 2009 Maury catalog (French version) to "try" and identify different types for many of the stamps, e.g. Sower. It is a wonderful catalog. I was also thrilled to find all of the precanceled stamps listed in Volume 2. I plan to create pages for these since I have a decent percentage of them.

UPDATE: Turns out Steiner has Precancel pages! Problem is the frames are all too small (short by 1mm), so I had to modify all of the pages anyway. This also allows me to add / remove spaces for the improbable varieties and to edit some descriptions to match the Maury catalog colors and types.

I have 'decided' to put all of my old Canadian covers together in the same place with Vario 2S and 3S sheets. Now to buy some more sheets, I don't have enough to do the job.

Google has info on Dr. John Cronyn of Buffalo NY, which always makes this part of the hobby fun.

Before yesterday, I had not done anything philatelically for something like a year. Yesterday, I consolidated a bunch of material into a plastic container ahead of transferring all sets into 102 cards. After marking the contents of each card, I will check each item against my want/have list to ensure new items are logged in and want list likewise gets updated.

From there, 102 cards are placed into my red boxes (currently using 12) by country so I can mount everything into Vario pages. That last part may not happen until I retire but we'll see.

Went to a local show yesterday, picked up a bunch of China and actually managed to stick to my plan to stay in China instead of going all over the place. Now, it'll be a week or so until I can get it all into the albums.

Nada. I have been diverted to dealing with coins. I did not realize that the US Mint went all out on commemorative coins (clad, silver. proofs, gold).

I go on ebay everyday and bargain hunt. I bought several lots and some Anchor stock pages. Sometimes you can find good deals by watching the auctions. Like all of us I have over paid for some but that is part of the game.

I want to wish everyone well in what ever vinue you find your stamps. Enjoy what you can. We get so little of it.
