I saw the first posting's link to the Albania stamp issued on 24 October 1962 was broken, so here it is again, plus one from Canada issued 18 January 1988.

To stretch the "topical" nature of this thread a bit into the Cinderella realm .... beginning in 1938, the National Wildlife Federation issued an annual pane of seals featuring (mostly) American wildlife.

Shown here is a sampling of NWF cat-related seals: missing the 1939 bobcat and cougar seals, complete from 1943-1967 mounted on their informative annual album pages, then very seals intermittent from 1968 to present.

In more recent decades, the NWF issued numerous panes and booklets each year as part of their fundraising efforts, which were not handy to scan today – maybe later!

1943: Ocelot.

1945: Jaguar.

1948: Ring-Tailed Cat.

1952: Cougar.

1959: Bobcat.

1960: Lynx.

1961: Young Mountain Lion.

1962: Lynx.

1967: Bobcat.

1967: Ring-Tailed Cat.

1979: Canada Lynx from "Christmas Stamps / Wildlife '79" pane.

1983: Ocelot from the "National Wildlife Federation's / 1983 Conservation Stamps" pane.

1991: Florida Panther from the "New Member Stamp Collection" pane.

1992: Margay from the "Endangered Species" pane.

1994: Mountain Lion from the 1994 "Holiday Greetings" pane.
