I have Kookaburras in the Gum tree at the bottom of my garden.

Kookaburra sits on the old gum tree,
Merry merry king of the bush is he.
Laugh, Kookaburra, laugh, Kookaburra,
Gay your life must be!

Listen to him "Laugh" (Make sure sound is on)
It was created by Dr Farvardin Daliri (orig Iran)

The $1.70 Kookaburra above has always looked odd (imo).

The beak appears too short, comparing young ones flying around here.? lol

Indeed, as is the 3d Blue.
Perhaps the $1.70 is a toy, or image for children (Christmas) ?
I think they would be a difficult bird to capture in art.

We have a few at the temple in the foothills, and they snitch our food at the first opportunity. Buddhist Kookaburras

OK, I admit I'm having a tough time with this one. Why the high purchase price?
