Healthy results for New South Wales numeral cancellations - some bargains too.

I do not see any bargains on that page,
I cannot comprehend paying nearly $700 for a postmark.

I did get some (what I thought) were bargains, Brit Literature by Robson Lowe, etc for the $15 and upwards.

I like Phoenix, but having a problem with the online popup
it disappears whenever I look at the auction sheet, and hides in the background somewhere.

Desirability in the eye of the collectors - as we know, rare items in the world of collectors fetch a handsome price.

Only 240,000 of the first watermark 2 kangaroo were printed and catalogue value for mint is $12,500 - $17,500. A desirable item, one of which sold for $3,800 (before add-ons) in this auction.

In comparison, only 1 or 2 of barred postmark 1022 were known to exist in major collections. A much rarer and very desirable item to a collector of NSW postmarks, selling for only $550 before add-ons.

The bargains I was referring to can be seen among the other rare NSW cancellations using the auction link here:

Yes, I see FDS, I obviously do not travel in that stratosphere.

I guess as the average Male income in Australia is $1,900 per week
one can afford that sort of spending.

I think I may have experienced a minor Earthquake this morning.
Awoke to windows rattling and deep groaning.
Passed it off as an extraordinary Diesel train shunting.
(I am near the railroad)

Then I read this.......

Sort of Philatelic.

Any mail for me, Mr. Postman.?

Large hair, dark eyes, and 2 minutes of good music.
They were good times.

Wow!
Yes Finches, one of the greatest pieces of music of all time.
(my opinion)
However it must be the version by Joe Cocker.

You have to give it to auction lotters for some colourful descriptions over the years.
