A pair in 1980 was catalogued at $4
Makes a nice album page.

Perkins Bacon were by no means rigid, in their mixing of colours,
The receipe in the case of the ink supplied for the Tasmanian printings in 1856 were :

Red : Equal parts of Pale Vermilion, Rose Pink, and Persian Red

Rod. How did you eliminate the possibility of the short envelope, RE-21? They look indistinguishable to me?

Hi Steve,
the distance from the edge of the stamp image, to the border of the Knife edge.
On the long envelope it is wider.

That's not factual, just my assessment.
It's open for your own assessment.
The envelopes were gummed and knifed by machine,
so I am assuming consistency.
