Hello everyone, Just wondering why this stamp has perfs missing, other than being purposely cut. Please weigh in, thanks!

That was indeed on purpose, either that or someone had to cut the cover for some reason.

Perhaps the top of the stamp was folded over the top of the envelope or postcard, and damaged.

Happens often enough.

Or there was a bit of mold, or ...
