Great Britain. The Language of Heraldry Argent a fesse gules thereon another chequy of the first and sable in chief two Tudor roses barbed and seeded and in the base a stag trippant the whole surmounting an archiepiscopal staff, all proper. And for a crest on a wreath of the colours, perched upon a representation of the Royse Stone, a hooded crow proper. ROYSTON (Royse Stone) is a bundi (western Aust slang = stone) that originally lay at the intersection of 2 roads It still exists near that spot, and has laid there 900 years. |

Machin lovers will delight in a comment by Princess Margaret, referred to in yet another book about the royals, that she only wished to see images of her sister on postage stamps, not "ghastly buildings, birds and things". |

Ghastly buildings...oh my. I like Machins as much for the colors. It reminds me of this childhood memory. Crayons are still incredibly inexpensive. |

Even Gothic splendour probably palls when you've shivered through enough tedious ceremonial. |
