This 1989 prefecture stamp of Japan (Sc #Z17) depicts 2 Aomori apples and apple blossoms.

From en-aomori.com, "Aomori is the northernmost prefecture on the main island of Japan...In 2012, apple production exceeded 446,000 tons, roughly 56% of the domestic market."

On June 1, 1990 Japan issued a prefecture stamp (Sc #Z74) of Fukushima to recognize the area's peach crop. Fukushima peaches are popular in eastern Asia.

Later, Fukushima made the world news with a nuclear disaster. From the japan times.co.jp website, "With bans from the Fukushima nuclear disaster still in place around Asia, however, Fukushima officials said they will continue calling on the government to negotiate with customers of Japanese peaches, Hong Kong and Taiwan, to encourage them to lift bans on produce from the prefecture."

In 2008, Serbia issued a set of 4 grapes stamps. All of these stamps are printed on one sheet. They are se-tenant horizontally with different labels separating the two pairs of stamps shown.

A Valencia orange is shown on this Spanish cinderella promoting the Second International Citrus Congress of the Mediterranean Countries held in Valencia in May of 1952.
