L V:
The Wyoming FDC is listed as being produced by A P L and you can probably see those three letters at the bottom of the cachet. A P L stands for American Philatelic Line.

Quote: I didn't realise the Crosby covers sell for so much! McCusker has some for over US$30.00! Well, that doesn't mean he'll get that for them. I've purchased scores of covers from Mccusker, typically at 40% off his asking price. This is by waiting for them to come on sale, or by getting them at the starting price in his weekly auctions. And if you think $30 is a lot for a Crosby cover, you should look at what "billsbargainstamps" (Bill Langs) asks for his on eBay. Of course, he typically asks for 3 to 4 times what they are worth. Except for unusually scarce items, I'm not sure why anyone would ever pay what he asks. Common items can typically be picked up from other sellers for about a quarter of what he asks. Posted on another forum im sure it will get moved but just to be on the ball.. Id never heard of Crosby Covers till today. Probably not as exciting as Lincoln, but, Dr Sun Yat Sen (12 November 1866 – 12 March 1925) was a Chinese philosopher, physician, and politician, who served as the first president of the Republic of China and the first leader of the Kuomintang (Nationalist Party of China). |
