All of the copies I have of the 10¢ Christmas Dove Self-Adhesive (Scott 1552) look horrible. Toning and staining seem inevitable with this stamp.
Recently I came across a note I wrote to myself long ago that I should order copies of 1552 from Gene Paquette in Scottsdale, who advertised that he sold copies that had their gum removed long ago and exhibited no toning or staining. I never made that order and a google search reveals that Gene has passed away.
Does anyone know of a source that is selling copies of #1552 that still look good?
