Desktop back to normal, after Monitor failure.
Ditched the part time 12" screen for the new 24" Samsung 24" FHD Monitor LF24T350FHEXXY
$149 AUD (US $102)
Delivery from Perth (230km) $5 and on my door in 2 days.
It has a 24" display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. It has a 75 Hz refresh rate and a 5 ms response time. This monitor is ideal for placing alongside another identical monitor, as it has a near-borderless design that allows for a near-seamless viewing experience. You can use it for your everyday work needs or even for gaming, thanks to its AMD Radeon Free Sync technology for minimising image tearing. Connect to this monitor via HDMI or D-sub. With flicker-free technology and eye saver mode, you can enjoy comfortable viewing for hours on end. It has an image brightness of 250 cd/mē. It comes with a 3 year warranty for your peace of mind. |

I'd certainly like a cycling sim I'd very much like the Wahoo X Alas! I am in the country, and I cannot get anyone to set me up.
Remember, I have never had an iphone
Last computer game I played was I think "ping pong" back in the 80's
But, I can HDMI "BORGEN" to my big wall screen, and relax whilst having a Milo.

I did have a Franklin one-dollar stamp as my desktop background but have changed subject matter dramatically for the time being. Baghdad, 2006 |

Valley of Fire State Park, Nevada, August 2011 Memorable for the utter silence. A very calming landscape I was privileged to visit at the end of a 105F day hiking and rock climbing. My icons show up well across the upper sky. - Jonathan |

Jonathan:Love your desktop landscape. I might file a copy in case I ever get tired of mine. I have one similar - I think it was on an old Microsoft system as a desktop background, but not carried forward as I have to keep transporting it to new computers. The icons display well against the sky, which is why I prefer it. I also have used this one, but he's a bit too much when displayed on all three monitors staring at me. Also the background is too dark to display icons that can be seen by my old eyes. As a substitute, he sleeps (well sometimes) nearby in my second desk chair and is generally unobtrusive when I work, at least until he decides it's time for him to eat and me to feed him. |
