This is the one numeral I'd like to acquire above all others.

If you see one in your travels, please let me know!

Just_Fella,

Your 64 is from Maitland, 890 from Edgecliff and 1321 from Coolabah.

The 64 and 890 are not rated (i.e. not scarce) and the Coolabah is rated as scarce.

I guess it was inevitable that someone was going to ask

Shall we say I'm having a devil of a time finding one!

This is as close as I can find to the 666 Bobby De La Rue.

Looks like it might be 656 - what do you think?

Thanks fairdinkumstamps,
I didn't need the rarity, just wanted some places to look up
A reply/suggestion made me loose interest
Perhaps I read things differently

Hi fairdinkumstamps.

Yes, that's a 656 of Tingha.

Thank you for looking though

Hi Tasnaki,

This is a 730 of Millthorpe, rated common.

Probably the prettiest town in the central west.

Hope this info helps!

Correct, Tasnaki.

There are two Type 4B cancellations for 390 Kogarah.

390(2) measures 14 x 7.5 mm (not rated) and
390(3) measures 13 x 6.5 mm (also not rated).

There was only one listing for the 4B type for Kogarah in the first edition.

Only one type was known to Brown & Campbell.

So, we apparently have two unrated devices but one not illustrated in the second edition, and one somehow omitted altogether from the first edition?

I think this is a typo in the 2nd edition of the book, but if anyone has an example of both I'd like to see them.

I can't see any size differences of that magnitude in my small collection, BobbyDeLaRue.
Even where I thought one might be slightly wider, it isn't taller to the same degree and vice versa:
