Isn't it a double-headed eagle?

It is a double headed eagle, unless lions have skinny wings!

As far as I am aware, there are two parts of the Vignette,
The "Shield" (which has the double headed eagle)
and the "Escutcheon" within the shield.

There resides the crowned Lion. (and my error, suggesting a horse)

Zoo's have a mixed feeling for me, I prefer not to visit, the insect displays etc,
are fabulous, but the caged animals fill me with sadness.

Yes, hard to see their appeal these days, except as research and conservation bodies. The large animals that children love to see are precisely those that shouldn't be confined in small spaces.

Hopefully, in the future, this will be solved, by widespread use of VR
