The French impressionist Alfred Sisley (1839-1899) was honored in a souvenir sheet of several stamps by the Republic of Burundi in 2012. One stamp shows the painting of winter in the town of Louveciennes which is just west of Paris. Sisley was able to capture natural colors and even make a winter day look warm.

Be protected under an umbrella made by Dickmann. A perfect match of pattern in the umbrella and the cape. Umbrellas for the gentlemann can be bought here, says the smaller sticker, they are the best.

Two in one: The souvenir sheet dedicated to C. Monet by the Republic of Guinea, 2007, shows the familiar painting "The Promenade" and in the stamp itself the "Poppy Field" with the lady and the youngster.

(Hi Alexey! That is a lovely painting - thanks. She even has my hair color. Kris)

The same lady with the parasol was used for the background of the Manet souvenir sheet of Guinea, 2018. The stamp itself shows the painting "At Argenteuil on the Seine".

Another Niger Monet! One in a set of four impressionists in a souvenir sheet, 2018. Monet has so many ladies with parasols that this one is simply known as the lady turned to the left!

The "Two Ladies at the Beach in Trouville" (on page 47 and just above by Niger) is seen on the backdrop of the World's Fair in Paris with the gigantic globe and of course the Eiffel Tower. Souvenir sheet of 1998.

(Hello Alexey, Interesting to know that Monet's painting of the "Woman in the Garden" at Sainte-Adresse, which is just north of Le Havre, is in the Hermitage. It must have been fun to see it. Thanks. K.)
