Hi Bookbob, Thanks for your info! That must have been a circus artist in the cancellation. And just for good measure, souvenir sheet 66 with the entire list of great places to visit. The largest is the "Neues Palais" in the background, built by Fredrich der Große in the 1760s.(Thanks for the great new addition. K.)

The 'Man with the Umbrella'. Many artists have a marvelous sense of humor - this figure stands in a fountain pool at the Fondation Folon in La Hulpe just south of Brussels. Jean-Michel Folon (1934-2005) was a prolific painter and sculptor and many of his works have appeared on stamps of different countries. The hands were issued by GB for the anniversary of the UN.

"The Umbrella Thief", legend by Sybil Wettasinghe, issued by Sri Lanka on October 1, 2013 to publicize the World Children's Day

Kiri Mama lives in a small village on the island of Sri Lanka. One day, he takes a bus trip to the big city, and there he discovers umbrellas! He buys one and brings it home, but when he leaves his purchase by the side of a coffee shop for a moment, it is stolen. Kiri Mama repeats this process until some 30-odd umbrellas have been stolen. Finally, he tracks down the thief, who turns out to be a monkey.
