Slovenia Natural Lakes of Slovenia Black Lake (elevation 1197 m) is located near the Osankarica Lodge, in the Pohorje Mountains in northeastern Slovenia. The lake was formed in ca. 6000 BC and is surrounded by high marshes, dwarf pine and spruce forests.  |

Bog formed in wet depressions since the end of the Ice Age. The nature reserve is home to hundreds of bird and plant species.  |
