No bird stamps were issued in the USA during the first 100 years that USA issued stamps. The first stamp was issued in 1940, and until 1957, more three stamps. Here they are, all of them are engraved:

John James Audubon (1785 – 1851), an American ornithologist, naturalist, and painter, issued in 1940. The bird in the lower left corner is Baltimore Oriole (Icterus galbula):

Great Egret (Ardea alba) in Everglades National Park, issued on December 5, 1947:

Wild Turkey (Meleagris gallopavo), issued in 1956 to promote Wildlife Conservation:

Whooping Crane (Grus americana), issued on November 22, 1957 to promote Wildlife Conservation:
