This variant of #3874 is not mentioned in Scott 2018.
Anybody have a similar copy with the bright yellow in the rightmost treetop?
Thx! Figjam

Figjam,
The Scott Catalog only lists what it considers major errors (for the more recent stamps). Mostly just Imperforates, and color omitted errors, with some exceptions.
There are just to many different types of varieties, and what I call minor errors, misperfs, color shifts, partial color missing and other types, (as these also occur during the printing process).
Your stamp appears to of either had a small piece of debris on the paper, that later came off, or it is just a minor ink skip.
If you where looking for a value, unfortunately it is more in the interest of the variety, than monetary.
Hope this helps,
Mike

Mike2006, Thank you for the info. The yellow thing does have two or three square corners, suggesting a sliced-off bit of something. Scott gives the "color laydown order of plate numbers" as cyan, magenta, yellow, black. The bright yellow patch appears (to me) to be solid color, not dots, with some magenta dots printed over the yellow. If the color laydown order is the printing sequence, then how could the magenta show over solid yellow? What am I missing here? Thanks!
Figjam
