Georges-Léo Degorce (1894-1943?) was a painter and a stamp designer and engraver.
He engraved 10 French stamps and a number of French Colonies & also Monaco

Degorce was perhaps more talented as a painter than an engraver
going by his paintings and drawings.




Here is an article from Stamp & Coin Mart which depicts
an unaccepted Degorce design for the 1938 state
visit of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth to France.

Wow! Very impressive designs. I really like the locomotive.
The skiing scene also looks really nice with the mountains in the background.
