Looks like some sort of stain, which absolutely reduces the value, if that's what it is.

txstamp, reduced by how much (your opinion) - I am kind of an expert in New Brunswick stamps + proofs.....I own them all (cents issues and proofs except this one) and 2 Pence stamps, which I will be happy to re-post for you.....

For that particular stain, if it were me, I'd dock it 30-50% depending on how badly I wanted it.

I don't view that particular fault/stain to be quite as bad as a thin / crease or tear, but its not good either since its quite noticeable.

Thanks for posting your proofs. I'm a big fan of essays & proofs. I used to have quite a few of early US stamps, and still enjoy them very much.
